Bucky Balls

This is so random but I have to share this video of this toy! Found this over at The Gadget Blog

(I may have a special appreciation for these b/c of a history of industrial design class where we learned all about Buckminster Fuller and his craziness. Also, my late fish, Bucky, was named after him)

New Art!

I just have to share the new art I got from YumiYumi! The artist actually lives in Columbus! I framed the prints and hung them up by our dining room table.
I thought that I wanted white frames for these prints but I found these at Target (it's hard to find 4 8" X 10" matching frames). Now I love them! They are painted black or really dark brown and they're worn down a little bit so you can see an orange paint underneath. :)

Eco-Chic Craftacular Swag Bags

Here's what MollyStuff is donating to the Craftacular swag bags! They're little promo rings that were cheap enough to make and give away!

I hope that the people who get them (for free) think that they're fun!

I'm packaging them in clear baggies with a business card... maybe I'll post a picture of the complete package later.

I am going to be selling at Cafe Handmade for 8 weeks starting on April 26th. I have chosen a few items from my Etsy shop to sell at my "booth". The pictures at my "booth" link back to my Etsy shop. (basically, it's advertising... !)

MollyStuff Mission

MollyStuff Design's mission is to create affordable fine jewelry and fine art that can be appreciated for it's everyday simplicity and long-lasting beauty.

I think that I came to this mission statement from my love for things that last. When I decided that I wanted to make jewelry after five years of industrial design schooling and work (wow! what a big decision! when I tell people, they look at me like I've grown three heads... or lost a brain!), I knew I wanted to make things that would be valuable after the trends fade away. Sterling silver will always be valuable, and hopefully my designs will be just as valuable for that long. In designing, I try to keep up with some of the fun trends of the day but I also want to keep it simple. I hope that the jewelry designs will be worn every day, become a part of the wearer.

As I have changed in the past, I will change in the future and my mission may change. For now, this mission explains what I have been doing in the past year and what I want to continue doing.

MollyStuff in a Storque Article- VOTE! Get Your Career in Gear

My Windsor Tie Pendant was included in VOTE! Get Your Career in Gear about getting inspired to keep on working even though so many people are getting laid off and the economy sucks. Yeah! Get a silver tie and wow those employers!

MollyStuff on Etsy Front Page

Thanks to the folks over at Craft Cult, I found out that my Custom Initial Pendant listing was included on Etsy's front page! I wish I knew this when it was on there but it's great to know nonetheless! I was wondering why I got a few more hearts than normal on that day!

Cheers!
